Our team.
Meet Susan.
Principal Occupational Therapist.
"Don't give up, normally it is the last key on the keyring which opens the door"
Empathetic. Creative. Passionate. Driven.
Susan graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) in 2014. She has worked across a range of different healthcare industries as a Senior, Principal and Discipline Team Lead primarily in the areas of paediatrics, aged-care, neurorehabilitation, disability, chronic pain, vocational rehabilitation, driving and mental health.
With over 8 years experience across a range of high-level roles, she is well-versed in the industry and loved by all her clients. Susan was the Principal Occupational Therapist for Alzheimer's WA and has extensive experience in the area of neurology and dementia-care, with specific expertise and interest in Younger Onset Dementia. She sees the value of allied health disciplines in improving function and quality of life, whilst minimising hospital admissions and keeping people at home. She is a strong advocate for the benefits of allied health disciplines within the community and has experience establishing them from the ground up for multiple large, health and disability organisations. As a result, she also has extensive experience with a range of different funding streams such as National Disability Inurance Scheme (NDIS), Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Home Care Packages (HCP), Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), Medicare and private health insurers.
Susan is passionate about upskilling to provide the best quality service to her clients. She has obtained further postgraduate qualifications in a Diploma of Dementia Care through the University of Tasmania in 2017 and has become a Registered Driving Occupational Therapy Assessor through the Institute of Driver Health in 2021. She believes in sharing her knowledge and contributing to the occupational therapy profession by frequently lecturing at Edith Cowan University, providing supervision for other associate and senior clinicians and has been a clinical supervisor for both 3rd and 4th year occupational therapy students during their clinical placements.
When she’s not supporting clients, Susan keeps Kemp Allied Health running smoothly behind-the-scenes, managing the team, lecturing or attending professional development opportunities and more. Susan has experience across the lifespan, from infants to the elderly and looks forward to meeting you in person to walk with you on your journey and Kemp achieving your goals.

"Please don't walk in front of me, I might not be able to follow. Please don't walk behind me, I might not be able to lead. Please just walk beside me and be my friend".
